Design Previewer is a small Windows tool with one job: showing you what is inside a design file before you open it.
A folder of blank icons is a folder you cannot use
Windows shows a photo as a picture and a design file as an icon. Open a client folder and there are sixty Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDRAW files, each wearing the logo of the program that made it. The only way to find the one you want is to open them, one after another.
Design Previewer is built by PixelsClinic. We wanted File Explorer to treat design files the way it treats photos, on any Windows PC, whether or not Adobe or Corel software is installed on it.
So that is what it does, for Photoshop, Illustrator, EPS, CorelDRAW, InDesign, PDF, Sketch, Adobe XD and Affinity files. It does not edit, convert or organise anything. It shows you the file.

Your files stay yours
Files are read where they are. Nothing is uploaded, to us or to anyone, and nothing is ever changed.
Read as little as possible
A thumbnail comes from the small preview already inside the file, so a 600 MB file costs a few kilobytes.
Nothing in the background
Nothing starts with Windows and nothing keeps running. It works only when File Explorer asks for a thumbnail.
Only measured claims
Every number on this site was measured against a real file. If we cannot measure it, we do not say it.
It cannot break Explorer
The worst that can happen with a damaged file is no thumbnail. File Explorer carries on as before.
A person answers
When a file will not preview, open a ticket. Somebody who knows the product reads it and replies.
